The Church of the Nazarene has three core values:
- We are a Christian church;
- We are a holiness church, with an emphasis to grow and mature in our relationship with Christ;
- We are a missional church. Missions is in the DNA of the Church of the Nazarene.
The Church of the Nazarene International believes we are a sent people—into homes, work places, communities, and villages as well as other cities and countries. Nazarene missionaries are now sent from all regions of the world to the places where the Church of the Nazarene is not yet. God continues calling ordinary people to do extraordinary things made possible by the person of the Holy Spirit. We are consciously trying to push our boundaries.
The Eurasia Region is an area of the Church of the Nazarene International that covers Portugal to Bangladesh and Norway to the Middle East. Our cultural diversity opens the doorway to a deeper understanding of the love of Christ, which helps us to experience the fullness of God, so that we can become more mature in our relationship with Christ. In Ephesians 3:14-19 Paul says:
For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
It is ‘together with all the Lord’s holy people’ that we will be able to understand more of the love of Christ. It is together with our brothers and sisters in Christ that we can be filled with all the fullness of God. M+Power is an initiative designed to empower Eurasian Nazarenes for full participation in the mission of God, so that Eurasian churches can fully participate in becoming sending churches.
