Hello, my name is Rosa Vardanyan, I am from Armenia.

I live in Gyumri, the second largest city in Armenia – but my family and I are leaving the city to serve in the church in Akhuryan. In 2013-2017 I served as an NMI Leader in Armenia. Now, in our local Church I am serving as a Youth Leader and Worship Leader.

I am a historian-archaeologist by profession. I work at the Gyumri History Museum and I do excavations in different places of Armenia and I love it.

My parents are Christians, they dedicated their lives to God a long time ago. My father has been the pastor of Akhuryan Nazarene Church for 19 years, and my mother is a member of the worship group and besides that, she teaches bible stories to our children in the Kids Club.

I was born and raised in a pastor’s family. Growing up in a pastor’s family is a huge responsibility. People see you as an example, which sometimes makes it very difficult for you to develop your personal relationship with God. Sometimes you just do what they want you to do. Sometimes you pretend to be a perfect person, but that is not what God wants me to do!

Since November 2021, I have been leading Missions in the Eurasia North Field. Missions are my passion and that is why I love doing the role. In my life there were people who told me that I am not enough, that I can’t do anything, but God shows us through the Bible, the power of a person in whose life God works. This is what I believe in. I can change something. «I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13». And if I can do something for others, why not do it?

The Church of God needs people who think not only of themselves, but also of those who come to church or do not even know about our God. I am nothing if God does not work in my life. But I am everything if I have God in my life. We are all called to do the great work of God. We are all called to make Christlike disciples in all nations. We are God’s people and we are powerful if we work together. This is what God calls us to do – work with the Spirit and in unity, whenever you are and whoever you are. Every single person in this world is important for God and that is why I am honoured to be part of God’s mission and serve our God with all of you.
