Steve, originally from Leeds, England currently lives in Perth, Scotland on the British Isles North District. Steve has served in his local church in a number of roles, as a board member – where they have recently undergone a major building programme, and regularly leading worship. He is also a member of the District Advisory Board and leads the team that runs the annual District family holiday – Northbreak.
Steve is married to Ruth, they have three grown up children – James, Hannah and Ben, who all serve actively in the Nazarene church.
Steve is a great people leader and has worked for 37 years in the financial services industry primarily in Insurance and Banking. Through this time leading and developing teams across the UK and Internationally, delivering several strategic change projects giving expert guidance on Risk, Audit and Governance.
Steve has a real love for the church and missions and over the last two years has felt a call on his life to step away from secular employment and to serve the church on a more full-time basis. He is excited to be stepping into this new pioneering role to support our leaders across the Region as we work together to minister to the least and the lost, developing, and growing Gods work throughout the Eurasia Region.
Our Regional Director Jim Ritchie shares, “Steve comes to the Regional team with a vast experience in business management and professional leadership and development. He is also a committed Nazarene who has served and led in many roles in the local, District and National church in the UK. In his new role Steve will work to support me in the implementation of the Regional Strategic Priorities. He will also help and support our Regional and Field leaders in the fulfilment of their vision and strategy. Steve will be a great addition to our team”.
