Tell us a bit about yourself:
I am Diane Robbins. My husband, Rusty, and I currently live in Germany. Previously, we had the great honor to live in South Asia. Our missionary journey has been wonderful – though unanticipated.
My parents did not attend church. I was a bus kid when I met Jesus at the age of six. I am so thankful for the bus drivers and Sunday school teachers who helped me grow in my walk with Christ. My lifetime spiritual goal is to get to heaven and take as many people with me as possible.
Rusty and I attended Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma, USA. We graduated with degrees in accounting and business respectively. We thought all missionaries were pastors, doctors, or nurses. It never occurred to us that God would use Rusty’s accounting degree and my Masters in business. God knows best – our lives and work experience prepared us for each step of the journey!
In 2000, the Lord directed us to serve at Bonita Park Nazarene Camp in New Mexico, USA. In 2008 God called us to be Nazarene missionaries with our initial assignment at JESUS Film Harvest Partners (JFHP). Our roles have changed and expanded over time.
Tell us a bit about your role:
I am honored to serve as the Eurasia Region Nazarene Missions International (NMI) Coordinator. I am responsible for developing and resourcing districts on the region to advocate for missions through praying, giving, educating, and engaging children and youth in collaboration with Field Strategy Coordinators. Basically, I serve as a communication and training conduit with district NMI Presidents empowering them to resource their local churches.
A typical day may involve working with the Global NMI (Lenexa, KS) and District NMI Presidents to coordinate translation of prayer resources, meeting the Global NMI president who resides on the region, hosting a Zoom call to explain reporting processes, dreaming up an Alabaster promotion to engage all age groups, making a video to promote a mission emphasis, and a lot of responding to emails and texts!
The most amazing part of what I do is coming alongside the NMI District and Field leaders. They are generous with their time and talents. Their excitement, creativity, and engagement with missions is contagious.
What is a highlight you have experienced being part of the Region?
Without a doubt, interacting with people and varied cultures across the region is one of most fulfilling parts of what the Lord has called me to do. Our region has so much diversity it is overwhelming and humbling at the same time.
For the upcoming Nazarene Global Week of Prayer, 27 February – 5 March, 2022, our district and field leaders provided 17 language translations of the 31 available for language groups around the world.
Is there anything else you’d like to share?
February is a focus on Alabaster giving. The Alabaster Offering provides funds for property and buildings around the world. Districts across Eurasia are participating in an Alabaster box decorating contest and taking up their offerings all month to help congregations in other parts of the world.

How can we pray for you?
World areas cross our region face political, social, and religious unrest. We have believers and workers in these places, please pray for the peace of the Lord to rest on them as they seek to advance His Kingdom! Ask the Lord to give them favor when dealing with officials, provide for their financial needs, and give them health for service.
