REPORTS TO: Eurasia North Field Strategy Coordinator

Estimated time commitment: 37.5 hours per week

Frequency of Travel: Minimum 6 weeks per year

Objectives: The Eurasia North Field (ENF) NCM Coordinator works under the supervision of the ENF Field Strategy Coordinator (FSC) and the Eurasia NCM Coordinator. The position’s main focus is to assist local Nazarene congregations in Eurasia North in effectively serving their communities through compassionate ministry. This includes church engagement, awareness, education, program management, and partnership development.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy

  • Collaborate with the FSC and Eurasia NCM Coordinator in developing a field NCM strategy focused on compassionate ministry within local churches. Special emphasis will be placed on leadership development, education, and mentoring.
  • Submit annual work plans, budgets, and reports to the FSC and Eurasia NCM Program Coordinator.

Program Management

  • Regularly monitor and evaluate existing NCM programs and projects within the Eurasia North Field.
  • Review and approve compassionate ministry project proposals arising from the field.
  • Work closely with the Field Finance Coordinator to oversee the administration of NCM finances, both program and administrative.

Child Development

  • Provide oversight to Child Sponsorship and Development programs in the region, in connection with the Eurasia Child Development Coordinator and country-level Child Development Coordinators.
  • Assist in reviewing proposals for new Child Development Centers and monitor ongoing programs to ensure quality delivery and proper financial management.

Disaster Preparedness and Response

  • Lead and supervise disaster response efforts within Eurasia North.
  • Work with churches to facilitate disaster preparedness and risk reduction where possible.
  • Facilitate communication between Eurasia North and international partners for disaster response management.
  • Collaborate with Eurasia NCM to provide content for awareness and fundraising efforts during disaster situations.

Capacity Building and Training

  • Work closely with District/Country NCM Coordinators to provide compassion education and awareness opportunities for local churches to better serve their communities.
  • Support registered NCM entities in their ongoing strategies, church connections, and governance.
  • Arrange training and professional development opportunities for NCM staff/volunteers and local church leaders in various areas of holistic development.
  • Maintain regular communication with church and NCM leaders across the field.

Other Duties

  • Gather and share stories of compassionate ministries in Eurasia North to engage the global church and donors.
  • Represent NCM at networking events, such as conferences and symposiums.

Qualifications:

Education/Credentials

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the community development or humanitarian sector.
  • Experience in remote program management and supervision.
  • Experience working with senior leaders from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in Russian (desirable).
  • Experience in church-based humanitarian programming (desirable).
  • Experience managing grants (desirable).
